Package – £30,000 – £36,000(depending on experience), plus Company Van
The Company
Our client are fast growing, Multi Million Pound, CNC Machine Tool specialist. Supplying Grinding, Cutting and Finishing Centres, mainly to the Automotive and Aerospace markets, their clients include the likes of Rolls Royce and Meggitt Aerospace as well as a long list of SME companies.
This close knit, family run business supply, service and install a wide range of machines from manufacturers including Schneeberger, Pemano, Palmary and Dama. With the business expanding quickly, they now wish to employ an enthusiastic, aspirational individual to be trained up as a Field Service Engineer.
The Role
To start with the successful candidate will undergo an intensive six month training course, which will be a mix of shadowing and attending supplier courses. During this period the Trainee Field Service Engineer will learn how to fault find, strip, rebuild, repair and install any system on the wide range of machines they supply.
Once training has been completed the Trainee Field Service Engineer will be sent out to perform routine services, breakdowns and installations, covering the whole of the UK and Ireland. Eventually, with the department and company expanding, they will require one of the Service Engineers to step up to become a Service Manager.
The business are looking for someone who has ideally completed a Multiskilled apprenticeship, or equivalent, on any kind of automated production equipment who is willing and able to step up within the next 5 years to become the Service Manager.
The Candidate
To be successful in your application you must have the following skills, abilities or qualifications:
* Must have completed a Multiskilled Apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications.
* Must have serviced or maintained any kind of automated production equipment.
* Must have a full valid driving license and valid UK Passport.
* Must be willing to travel across the UK and Ireland, plus to travel to Europe to attend supplier training courses.
* Must be willing and able to learn.
* Must have excellent communication skills.
