Greenwood Homecare is an independent provider of domiciliary care in Peterborough and the surrounding areas. We are recruiting a Field Care Supervisor to support customers in enjoying the best quality of life and receiving the highest level of care and support that they can in the comfort of their own homes.
As a Field Care Supervisor you are expected spend your working time in the community carrying out quality hands on support for your customers, in field evaluations and observations of Care worker practice, mentoring new care workers and ensuring a safe environment for both our customers and care workers.
The right candidate should adopt a high quality, flexible and person centred approach in agreeing care objectives and always seek to promote the dignity, choice and control of our customers care and support.
Key responsibilities include:
Engaging with customers:
* Carry out customer care assessments, either directly, with the customer, and / or their chosen representatives, to determine what the customer needs and what they would like to achieve from their care and support package.
* Create and agree individually tailored care plans that respect the customer’s wishes and promotes their dignity and privacy.
* Ensure that support plans are kept up to date, and risk assessed.
* Ensure that customer information is kept secure and confidential.
* Provide care support to customers during the working week and when required some evenings and alternate weekends.
Care Assistant Management and Supervision:
* Attend each customer’s first call with the care worker to introduce them.
* Provide guidance and supervision to each care worker.
* Carry out regular spot checks and record the outcomes of the checks.
* Act as support for out of office and on call rotas.
* Oversee care quality control and implement rigorous monitoring standards
Head Office Assistance:
* Provide assistance with the training and induction of carers. This will include mentoring and observations of care staff in the field
* Provide assistance with scheduling and coordination of care workers.
* Maintain a close liaison with the Registered Manager and other office members.
* Participate in team meetings, provide updates on care workers and the general standards of care.

Minimum Requirements:
To apply for this role, you must:
* Be willing to work a minimum of 30 hours a week which will include 10 hours of care delivery.
* Be a driver and have access to a car
* Have experience of supervising the delivery of care services within a similar role or looking to progress with your career
* Live locally and have a good knowledge of the community and local area
* NVQ / QCF level 3 or willing to work towards
