Location: Chesterfield

annual salary of: Dependant on experience between £26,000 – £28,080per year –

This is a temporary ongoing position that could be permanent for the right candidate

Key Skills: Experience in an AV Support role, CTS (ideal but not essential)

The Role

The Event Technicians prime function is to provide AV support across a range of live events and to be accountable to all stakeholders for their delivery.

All services should be delivered punctually at scheduled time frames, The AV Technician is expected to understand and assist with pre-event planning and resource scheduling, technical briefing, live event management, technical delivery and post-event wrap-up. The Event Technician’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Operation of audio-visual equipment as allocated by the AV or Venue Management during events with the aim to provide high quality technical standards.
* Positioning, installation and operation of equipment within all event areas.? Perform all necessary pre-event checks as required for the event, at least 30 mins prior to the start of the allocated event.? Complete understanding of signal flow in both audio and video installations.? Undertake any reasonable ad-hoc requests from clients regarding audio-visual equipment and event presentation
* To respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Help desk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where necessary and update in respect to call and job status.
* Carry out regular preventative room checks, ensuring all equipment functions correctly in accordance with the room check procedure.? To update records of equipment usage (when applicable), to make minor adjustments and repairs to equipment when necessary.
* Raise tickets for faults and liaise with relevant parties for repairs of malfunctioning equipment.
* Proactive maintenance / reporting to ensure all AV equipment is always of the highest standard and functioning correctly.
* Testing and connection of communications and networking to equipment via patching of floor boxes and Comms room terminals in accordance with event requirements and as requested by staff.
* Assist with first line fault repairs

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate relevant experience in a similar Event Technician in either the corporate, education or events industry

You will be a self motivated individual who also holds the ability to work well within a team.
