System Designer / Estimator

The Client:
Security Systems provider

The Role:
+ Technical & Pricing input to the proposal and tender process.
+ On-site surveys & feasibility studies relating to Security, Fire & Life Safety systems.
+ Liaison with Installations and maintenance teams to ensure understanding of preferred products and installation methods.
+ Liaison with Contracts Managers to ensure all additional works is being priced in a timely manner.
+ To provide technical input, system design and estimating support enabling production of accurate and competitive tender responses and proposals.
+ To provide practical system designs.
+ To conduct risk assessments and health and safety appraisals when conducting surveys (not essential).
+ To ensure designs meet user requirements and timescales.
+ To support proposal generation for additional works identified and generated via the contract maintenance process.
+ To keep CRM systems up to date with latest proposal and pricing information (relevant training given)
+ To support the bid process.
+ To liaise with the Installation Team to ensure what has been priced has been installed within budget.
+ To maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
+ Support the tender/quote process where specialist Security & Life Safety input is required.
+ Generation of quotations and tenders.
+ Consultation with manufacturers and suppliers for technical guidance and costing.
+ Creation of technical drawings and schematics for installation guidance (not essential)
+ Liaison with installation team for effective system delivery.
+ Liaison with Contract Managers reading Additional Works requirements.
+ Site attendance to support installation delivery when required.

Key Experience:
+ Experience of estimating, costing, tenders and quote requests.
+ Experience of surveying buildings prior to the installation.
+ Knowledge and experience of working within health and safety regulations.
+ A full Driving License.

Salary:
Up to £30,000 plus benefits
