English Graduate Teaching Assistant – Islington, Central North London – High achieving students. – £26,000 per year – ASAP Start!

We are currently looking for English Teaching Assistants! You must be:
*** Be a recent English graduate.
*** Have graduated with a degree grade 2:1, or above.
*** Be available to start immediately.
*** Be available to work full-time.
*** Able to travel to Islington, North London.
*** Be looking at starting a career in education.
The Role – English Teaching Assistant
As a Teaching Assistant you will be helping to support the English Teacher to engage the students. You will be key to helping them gain a better understanding of the subject and to develop their skills and confidence during each lesson. You may be asked to work with groups of children or 1:1 support and be able to express yourself confidently and enthusiastically to maintain focus. You will gain invaluable classroom experience and get a real insight into teaching in a busy inner London school.
The Secondary School – English Graduate Teaching Assistant
This school is an academy forming part of a well-established Trust. It is located conveniently in the London Borough of Islington, close to a range of public transport. The school is a well-established and successful secondary school. In their most recent Ofsted Inspection, in 2015, inspectors confirmed that they remained a ‘Good’ school, noting that: ‘Conduct around the school is excellent’; ‘Students have high aspirations’ and that ‘work on the quality of teaching has had an impact on raising standards at Key Stages 4 and 5 in virtually all subjects’.
