JOB ROLE: Engineering Manager
LOCATION: Northamptonshire
SALARY: Starting Salary £66,000 – Healthcare, Pension, 33 Days Annual Leave
SHIFT: Monday – Friday Days
COMPANY INFORMATION: This is a great opportunity to work for a leading manufacturer and supplier of cooked meat products tolarge retailers.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Reporting directly to the Factory Manager you will be leading an experienced Engineering Team. You will be responsible for all engineering works and the smooth running of the department. The key aspect to this role is to manage and motivate the team of engineers that are in place, putting in structures to enhance the efficiency and manage the workload.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Create and implement an efficient PPM schedule
* Financial responsibility of departmental budgets.
* Improving efficiency.
* Manage and motivate a team
* Planning and scheduling all engineering works.
* Reducing downtime of machinery
* To maintain accurate record keeping systems – both manual and computerised.
* Ensure all Health and Safety procedures are in place.
* Ensure that all Project work is implemented, completed on time and kept within budget.
* Working closely with Production.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* Previous Engineering Management experience –preferably from a Food background.
* Experience within a chilled environment.
* Multi skilled Engineering background – an electrical bias would be preferred
* PLC experience
* Food experience is essential.

The ideal candidate would have come from an extensive engineering background that has allowed them to progress to Engineering Manager
