Their people are essential to the success of the business. They empower their associates to reach higher, push further, and achieve more. They are now seeking to expand their team by recruiting a Sustaining Engineering Manager to join their highly successful team based in Milton Keynes.

You will be expected to adhere to the engineering processes as defined by the Global Sustaining Engineering manager, contributing and improving when possible. You will be responsible for the development and performance of a team that will service multiple market segments across varied geographic regions, cultures, and languages.

Role

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Delivery of annual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set by the business
• Customer presented lead times adhered to / upkeeping sales request response Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Documentation requests completed on time in accordance with SLAs
• Limit delays and QI’s in production locations occurring from errors in manufacturing documentation
• Driving the team to provide excellent sales support (including creation and maintenance of ERP system item records, BoM data, and manufacturing literature references)
• Ensure the team created and maintains:
  
  • The company’s product and OEM product specification documents through collaboration with PLMs
  • Drawing template system for quick turn drawing creation
  • Engineering process documentation
  • Bill of Materials (BoM) generators should a change be instigated by an Engineering Change Request (ECR)
  • Product medication documentation and product verification as defined by PLM through ECR process

• Strive to reduce manufacturing costs of existing products through design modification or material component exchange 
• Identify and action efficiency improvements
• Manage sustaining engineering projects against milestones to completion within the agreed timescale

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years in an Engineering Team Management role
• Knowledge of Asia Pacific polymer and sheet metal manufacturing desirable
• Database Management and Creation
• Project management
• Technical authoring (creating specifications, standard operating procedures, work instructions, process documents, etc.)
• Proficient in Excel for report generation and PowerBi for key metric reporting
• Any experience in recruitment would be advantageous (though not essential)
