Salary: £72,000 – £75,600 per year

A fantastic opportunity to join a Global Market Leader as an Engineering Manager (Site Based), the right Engineering Manager would have works experiences within an Automation, FMCG, or Engineering site based environment with relevant skill sets as below.

The engineering Manager will manage a team of skilled resident engineers to consistently and successfully deliver contractual KPI’s on time and within budget.

  • The engineering Manager will mentor, guide, monitor, and develop the team.
  • Recognise the customer’s values and what is critical to quality in order for the customer to succeed and provide an environment and framework of service excellence.
  • Engineering Manager to successfully manage talent including review, development, and succession to fulfill our requirements.
  • Compliance with Health & Safety legislation and H&S policies at all times
  • Create the site Health & Safety plan and foster a positive H&S culture on site ensuring that it is maintained and adhered to
  • Ensure full utilization for all Safety Critical Maintenance, accurate spares management, and scheduled maintenance
  • Deliver budget and demonstrate cost control within contractual guidelines
  • Prioritise and plan repairs in line with customer business needs
  • Promote, support, and propagate the standardization/harmonization of maintenance practices.
  • EN258 understanding, knowledge
  • Define, support, and lead LEAN projects seeking efficiency in all business processes.
  • To provide an escalation path for both your customer and the team
  • Adopt and promote a continuous improvement mentality on site

Qualifications

  • HNC/HND in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering (Degree preferred)
  • IOSH managing safely/NEBOSH (desirable)
  • A working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic technical manuals & drawings
  • Understanding of control systems and problem-solving techniques
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Understanding of preventive maintenance (PPM) principles and adept in using CMMS software
  • ​Experience and understanding of budgets P&L management
  • Working understanding, knowledge of FEM and BS standards governing the automated warehouse industry
  • Have a continuous improvement mentality
