Engineering Geologist

Our client have secured working on a major framework to deliver large scale site investigation works. To manage their increasing workload they are seeking Engineering Geologists in London, Cardiff, Nottingham, Manchester and Leeds.

Key Accountabilities

– Ability to work on own initiative with support provided from more experienced staff
– Reports to a senior site investigation specialist
– The management of site investigation works, including costing and procuring work from sub-contractors, dealing with suppliers and preparation of health and safety documentation
– The supervision of site investigations across the UK
– Logging of Soil and Rock in accordance with BS5930:1999, Amendment 1, BS EN ISO 14688 and BS EN ISO 14689
– Factual reporting

Essential Experience:

– First degree in geology, environmental science or related subject;
– 1 to 5 years’ experience in site investigation organisation and supervision;
– A willingness to travel around the UK for site investigation works: 90% of the role will be site based
– Good knowledge of health and safety requirements on site and for the development of health and safety documents including risk assessment and method statements
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
– Full UK driving licence
