Energy Materials Technician
This is an opportunity to make a difference to the way the world generates energy by becoming part of an advanced Energy Materials Research and Development team.
Supporting a team of highly skilled R&D scientists developing the next generation of clean energy electrochemical devices. Carrying out complex lab based tasks, accurately recording data, preparing reports and giving critical feedback to the R&D team.
There is a strong preference for candidates that can work flexible hours to extend the working day beyond normal office hours.
Key Accountabilities:
* Preparing metallographic samples for analysis with levels of surface finish.
* Using a broad range of analytical characterisation techniques.
* Operating ink formulation and printing equipment.
* Accurately recording data and giving critical feedback.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience:
* Experience of working in a scientific laboratory setting preferred.
* Experience with some of the following techniques strongly preferred: cutting/grinding/polishing, bead milling, Triple Roll Mills, Screen Printing, BET, SEM, PSD, Dilatometry, TGA/DSC, FT-IR, XRD, XRF.
* High level of manual dexterity.
* Very strong attention to detail.
* Scientific curiosity.
