Description
We are an award winning developer based in Poundbury, Dorset with a reputation for constructing properties to the highest architectural and building standards. Due to continued growth, we now need to expand the construction and commercial departments to meet future workloads.
As part of the growth of the department we now need to recruit a Materials Buyer to coordinate the purchasing of materials for current and future sites. Extensive experience in the residential sector along with relevant purchasing experience is essential. As the buyer you will be responsible for negotiating and setting up price schedules, supply agreements and rebate schemes with material suppliers and manufacturers on both a regional and national basis. Daily duties will include taking off materials from plans and ordering and scheduling from site requisitions. A strong head for negotiating coupled with sound construction knowledge is vital to gain best value for the company.
