Our client is one of the UK’s leading Energy and Services organisations who deliver infrastructure, FM and Energies Solutions to clients across the UK. Their Infrastructure arm provides utilities services and civil and electrical engineering solutions in public / highways lighting, telecommunications, electrical and gas network infrastructure and associated arenas, with a specific focus on energy-efficient technologies.

Overview of the role:

As the demand for our clients’ expertise continues to grow, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Energy Engineer to join the Business Development Department at our clients Head Office in Hatfield, reporting to the Bid Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

To provide technical and engineering expertise to develop and grow an Energy Performance contracting business for the Infrastructure market.
To produce business cases for Energy Performance Contracts.
To develop, support and maintain energy projects and support the operations teams to realise energy savings.
To manage and report on energy consumption and efficiency as part of the monitoring, targeting and validation process for contracted Energy Performance Criteria.

The ideal candidate will be degree educated in Electrical Engineering or have a HND. You will also have a commitment to Energy Management sustainability and the conservation of energy and
finite resources. You will also possess high levels of communication and presentation skills and proven project management skills, as well as a working knowledge of legislative requirement in relation to Health & Safety and Environmental policies. Good working knowledge of Carbon Emissions legislation Carbon Reduction Commitment. Excellent excel financial modelling ability will also be essential to undertake this role. Energy project business case development experience, including preparation of Energy/Carbon Calculations for budgeting and design/project appraisal including payback calculations and preparation of business cases.
