Infrastructure Engineer – Systems / Networks Sme

A class leading supplier of software solutions to the MoD and other military organisations are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer / Systems – Networks SME to join their highly skilled team working out of a secure location in Tewkesbury.
Working with our Client you will be part of a collaborative team and as their new Infrastructure Engineer / Systems – Networks SME you will provide a mixture of infrastructure build, preventative support as well as integration activities around Windows and Linux Server environments, Active Directory, Exchange, Citrix XenApp, VMWare, Hyper-V and many more.

ROLE: Infrastructure Engineer / Systems – Networks SME

SALARY: GBP25,000 – GBP40,000 (depending on experience)

REQUIREMENTS: Ability and willingness to undertake Security Clearance, Full driving license

LOCATION: Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire – easily commutable from Worcester, Cheltenham, Evesham, Pershore, Gloucester, Malvern, Hereford, Cinderford, Droitwich Spa.

As an Infrastructure Engineer / Systems – Network SME, you will be the point of contact for supporting the office domain network, which comprises of Windows servers, desktops and laptops and you will have responsibility for maintaining the integrity and security of the domain including patching and backups.

Skills and Experience:

· Experience in firewall configuration and maintenance
· Knowledge of best practices in Network Security
· Windows domain management
· Backup management

Highly Desirable:
· Exposure to Linux
· VPN management
· Experience of proxy software
· PKI infrastructure

As the Infrastructure Engineer / Systems – Network SME you will also be called upon to assist with designing, implementing and supporting projects for the new and existing customers.
