We are the UK’s largest workforce provider, proudly partnering with some of the country’s best-loved brands for over 30 years. We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an ER Specialist to join our People Team based at the NG2 Business Park in Nottingham.
As an ER Specialist, you will be providing specialist employee relations and employment policy advice, offering solutions to managers and colleagues. You will coach line managers, providing recommendations and guidance in line with employment law and our People Policies.
You will also be effective at managing ER related projects, such as TUPE’s and acquisitions, with project management disciplines and be confident with managing multiple stakeholders.
You will be an integral part of our People Team so the successful candidate will ideally be CIPD qualified or with experience of managing high volume employee relations cases. You will be an excellent team player with the ability to build effective team relationships, promoting an environment of trust and flexibility throughout the business.

The ER Specialist Position
As an ER Specialist, you will be providing commercially focused ER advice, reviewing, and managing insights to seek out potential risks and provide solutions.
You will ideally have an extensive knowledge of UK employment law and experience of working with a legal advice partner.
Responsible for maintaining an ER case tracker for reporting purposes and accurately recording all ER cases.
Responsible for managing a broad and varied case load to bring cases to effective conclusion whilst coaching and influencing managers ensuring that decisions are in line with legislation.
Your case load will vary but will include managing cases on grievance, disciplinary, redundancy, wellbeing, performance, absence etc.
On occasion, you will be responsible for managing HR projects or being the People lead on business projects, such as TUPE’s, acquisitions, system implementations and reorganisations.
Responsible for identifying trends and patterns to assist the ER Managers & Learning and Development Team to identify training and other pro-active interventions.
Responsible for attending and actively participating in ER case meetings.
Responsible for assisting the ER Managers with ACAS and employment tribunal cases.

You will be a self-motivated and driven team player who takes initiative to ensure all levels of management are provided with excellent service and timely support.
You will have previous experience of advising and supporting managers through complex ER situations, and/or strong experience in completing ER processes.
You will have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of management and key stakeholders.
You will have the ability to challenge and influence key decision makers with an assertive, confident yet influential approach.
You will have clear understanding and knowledge of current and future Employment Legislation.
You will have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and the resilience to navigate challenges and changes.
You will have strong attention to detail with a pragmatic problem-solving approach and an ability to deliver to deadlines.
You will have the ability to multitask, prioritise under pressure and use own initiative.
What do we need from you?
will have experience of working in a diverse, complex, and challenging business with the ability to balance commercial and reputational risk with doing the right thing.
It would be beneficial if you had knowledge of current TUPE legislation and experience of managing the TUPE process end to end.
It would be beneficial if you had experience or understanding of the Employment Tribunal process and/or ACAS early conciliation process.
Occasional travel may be required, so access to own transport would be beneficial.
