Embedded Firmware Engineer

Position: Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer (6 month contract)
Location: South East
Rate: £42 – £45.6 per hour

My client is a company I have placed with previously this year. As a result of natural expansion, they are currently looking to take on another Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer to join a small team working on a very new and interesting range of products. They are a small company who have order books full of work from a number of loyal and dedicated customers and this recruitment is key to them completing all the work on time. The successful Firmware Engineer will be someone with a wealth of experience of programming safety critical software onto microcontrollers.

Key Requirements:

– Relevant Degree (Electronics/Software/Physics/Computer Science)
– 5+ years experience in commercial Embedded Software Development
– Experience in Embedded C/C++ coding
– Experience in 16/32 Bit Microcontrollers
– Experience in ARM Cortex
– Sound understanding of Electronics hardware Design

This is a great opportunity to secure a long term contract. The feedback I have had from current contractors is that the project that this contract gets involved with is very interesting. You will be part of a fast thinking, forward moving company and will be kept very busy. A very competitive rate of £42 – £45.6 per hour with a very distinct possibility of extending after the initial 6 month period is up.
