Electrical Supervisor

A leading civil engineering contrator is recruiting for an Electrical Site Supervisor to oversee electrical work and the electricians, scope of work and order materials, issue permits and ensure electrical safety rules are followed.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Job Scoping
• Visit sites before schemes start to measure up and order materials
• Write RAMS for jobs
• Collate site M&E drawings

Site Supervision
• Ensure safe working practices are followed on site by electricians
• Ensure electrical safety rules are followed

Authorised person
• Fill in initial electrical site safety report before each job commences
• Issue permits when needed
• Complete electrical site safety audits
• Red line drawings for as builts when schemes are completed
• Ensure electricians job sheets are collected
• Ensure electricians Van sheets are filled in and signed off
• Ensure NICEIC certificates are fully filled in and issued to WS’s for sign off

Knowledge and experience
• Electrical Site Supervisor experience
• Understanding of permit systems
• Good understanding of the electricity at work regulations
• Scoping jobs
• Ordering materials
• Able to read electrical drawings, panel drawings, wiring diagrams
• Industrial M&E knowledge
• Experience of the water/waste water industry preferable
• Good literacy skills

and Qualifications
• 17th edition (apprenticeship) qualified
• CSCS ECS card
• SSSTS or SMSTS
• Test and Inspection 2394/2395 (2391) preferred
• Compex (not essential, but would be advantageous)
