Electrical Sales Engineer

Salary: £60,000 per year

We’re looking for a talented Electrical Sales Engineer to work for our client. They’re looking for someone with a background in Low Voltage electrical equipment, in either a Power Distribution, Motor Control, or Electrical Drives background.

The Role:

As the Application Sales Engineer you’ll report to the UK Sales Manager and will be primarily responsible for proposing technical solutions to address specific customer needs. Work with colleagues in the tender team to produce quotations and documents for clients’ metering and switchgear product range.

In the job you’ll be tasked with the following:

– Generating new business opportunities and prepare & follow up quotations

– Working with National Sales Manager to deliver area commercial action plans

– Working with the UK sales teams (principally PSM although liaison with cp/CIM teams on large projects is important ), BA Applications Developers, Key Account Managers, service group (sat or CIM), regional and local management team

– Providing constructive feedback on customer technical requirements

– Developing & supporting of target markets (water industry, Systems Integrators)

– Including 10 end-user/consultant presentations/visits per month

– Attending pre-delivery project meetings as clients representative

– Visiting 225 annual visits to customers

– Visiting key customers for training, product updates and project meetings

The standard working hours for this position are Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm.

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate for this Application Sales Engineer role will have relevant experience of utilised corporate tools (CRM, support line) to maintain technical support service levels.

You’ll also need experience of attending customer sites as an expert in fault finding, commissioning, and supporting the CIM team.

Plus, it’s vital that you’ve got experience of attending post-delivery project sites for commissioning, training and hand-over.

In addition, you’ll need the following:

– A degree in electrical/electronic engineering or HND in electrical engineering

– A full UK driving licence

– 10 years experience in External Sales

– A background knowledge of selling low voltage electrical equipment in either a power distribution/motor control/ electrical drives background

The ideal person for the role will be the following:

– Able to visit project sites for commissioning, training and hand-over

– Able to propose whole PSM offer to consultants, end-users and contractors

Basic salary: Up to £60,000per annum

Bonus: 13.5% variable
