This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market leading company who specialise in Security / Access Control Systems to some of the UK’s largest Utility companies across the UK, to join as an ELECTRICAL AUTOCAD Design Engineer and help to develop the business during an exciting phase of growth.
ROLE: ELECTRICAL CAD TECHNCIAN / AUTOCAD ELECTRICAL CAD ENGINEER
LOCATION: Office based – Newcastle-upon-Tyne. You may be looking for Electrical CAD Technician jobs in Northumberland, Matfen, Newcastle upon Tyne, Corbridge, Hexham, Prudhoe, Newbrough, Swalwell, Ponteland, Whalton, Otterburn, Gateshead.
SALARY: £30K- £35K basic, plus bonus, pension, training and development for employees with the right attitude to learn.
HOURS: Monday to Friday- 9am to 5pm
As an experienced Electrical AutoCAD Technician, you will be working as part of a close knit-team, taking concept designs through to detailed manufacturing drawings whilst providing electrical design engineering support to the electrical design engineering team.
Your main duties as the electrical CAD Designer will be to:
* Attend occasional site surveys (anywhere in the UK) as part of the initial design process.
* Prepare Electrical designs / Electrical drawings for control panel layout designs.
* Take drawings and designs through to the design department for specification.
* Working closely with Project Engineers / Managers to assist with coordinating projects.
Key Skills:
* CAD Electrical Schematic knowledge.
* 2D AutoCAD electrical building services background.
* Experienced in AutoCAD (Electrical) software and 3D modelling software.
* Strong knowledge of UK standards and Specifications.
* Good attention to detail, working in a fast-paced environment.
* HNC/HND or above in Electrical Design Engineering / Computer Aided Design Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
* Good understanding of Electrical Engineering Design Principles.
