Location: Poole, County of Dorset (BH13)

Salary: £26,000per year

Our client is a vibrant and dynamic special school for students aged 3-19 years who have physical disabilities and associated neurological and learning difficulties. They are looking for caring, motivated and enthusiastic staff to join their team.

Education Support Workers are required to support students’ both in and outside the classroom throughout the school day, in a range of subjects and activities such as reading, maths, ICT, PE, swimming etc.

Other Duties Include: 

To prepare classroom as directed for lessons, and clear afterwards; to provide administration support to the Teacher as required, such as photocopying, filing, typing of data, etc. and assist with the display of students’ work.

You will also be required to provide direct care to all young people such as physical care, personal hygiene, feeding and meeting medical needs as required (after appropriate training and support). This may include washing, feeding, toileting and assisting with changing during swimming lessons.

The post is full-time: Monday – Friday, 8.45 am – 3.45 pm, working term time only.

Bank education support workers are also urgently required to cover staff absences on an ‘As and When” required basis.
