Education Field Sales Executive
South East Territory
£20,000 – £24,000 + Company car + OTE bonus + Incentive’s + Benefits
We are currently recruiting for a sales professional with specific experience in the education sector. The role involves working for a large national print and digital publisher and will involve travel around the South East visiting schools and FE colleges.
Responsibilities:
To be responsible for all schools, FE Colleges and nursing schools (where appropriate) within the allocated territory and to ensure coverage of these and to maintain and increase sales of print and digital materials
Maintain up-to-date computerised records of all school and FE visits, including names of contacts of departmental heads.
Attend exhibitions in the area in order to maintain the profile of our list
Complete order and inspection copy forms correctly and promptly
Carry out presentations of courses and digital products to groups of teachers in an effective manner
Attend sales conferences and training days as required
Manage the time spent in schools so that it is the most effective in promoting both books and courses
Provide weekly electronic reports on all school calling and exhibitions, maintaining a weekly report sheet detailing sales figures.
Maintain a high standard of personal presentation, including language, appearance and manners, such that no negative feedback is received from schools
The individual:
1+ years field sales experience selling to education
Experience of selling publishing materials, IT or Software to the education sector
Understanding of the academic set-up and how to structure client meetings
Ability to communicate in a confident and effective manner
Very well presented and polished appearance
Ability to present to groups of teachers/department heads
