Job Title: Education Cost Accountant

Real Staffing are working on behalf of a large NHS Acute Hospital which requires an interim Cost Accountant to support the submission of their Education and Training expenditure.

Candidate should have a strong background within Education reference Costing with recent assignments at Acute Hospital Trusts. This role is part of a new government scheme where candidates will be expected to work with a flexible approach.

Key Duties:

Act as the trust’s Financial Lead on the Education and Training Reference Cost Collection return
Design questionnaires to collect income and expenditure activity
Created financial templates that will generate collected data and cost the training programmes (both salaried and non-salaried)
Populate the financial return to be submitted to the DoH
Liaised with budget holders and departments to gather information
Review data to ensure that it has been collected and costed accurately
Service Line Management and reporting of the trust’s Education and Training financial information
Support the annual Reference Cost submissions

Key Skills Required:

Qualified Accountant (preferable)
Supported delivery of NHS Reference Cost submissions
Operated within an NHS Acute Hospital Trust
Background within NHS income and costing
Strong system and analytical skills
