Drivers Mate – Sheffield

AS&T are currently looking to complete 14 Drivers mate vacancies to work on a 13 week temporary to permanent contract within the Sheffield area. The role will involve working for a well known Distribution specialist transporting white goods to various locations throughout the UK.

Duties include:

Assisting the Driver to locate customer addresses throughout the UK using, company dispatch paper work, satellite navigation and maps.
Liaising with customers to arrange appropriate delivery times.
Unloading White goods with the aid of a tail lift, Pallet truck and stair climbers.
Ensuring all company paper work is completed once the goods have been delivered.
Ensuring Customer care at all times.
Ensuring all wrapping has been collected from customer’s house and returned to the wagon.

Hours of work:

Monday- Friday 06.00 am until finish (Flexibility required as 12 hours might occur on occasion)

Saturday (On occasion)

Salary: s:

£26,000 per year dependent on contract

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

A strong work ethic.
Flexibility with working hours.
Must be physically able as the job involves a lot of manual handling.
Manual handling training preferred but not essential.
Previous experience would be a benefit.
Map & satellite navigation reading
Customer service skills.
The ability to read and write the English language
