Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 per year
An established incoming tour operator is seeking a Director of Sales and Marketing to join them at this exciting time of expansion. You will bring with you considerable knowledge and experience of the incoming travel market, be a fluent French speaker with the added bonus of German as well. You will also have solid staff management experience and strong negotiation and client relationship skills.
JOB PURPOSE:
*To increase awareness of the business in our core French and German speaking markets thus increasing our market share
*To be responsible for the leadership of the sales team for all 3 brands (recruitment, performance review, monitoring of their workload)
*To be responsible for the establishment of both annual and monthly sales objectives in coordination with the Company’s business plan
*To prepare an annual Sales plan which will cover our 3 brands & providing quarterly updates, revisions and modifications to the plan & to ensure the Sales dept achieves its targets
*To submit proposal of yearly Sales & Marketing budget to MD for authorisation
*To improve systems for better running of the sales and marketing process
*To work closely with Business Development Manager & Contracts Director to ensure we meet our company’s standards of response time for offers & at budget that will ensure we win the business
*To liaise with Contracts to improve our buying necessities
*To be in charge for the company’s Communication / Marketing / Branding
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
*A minimum of 5 years in a senior sales position for an inbound operator
*A minimum of 3 years experience in a senior management role
*Fluent French & English compulsory + German an added bonus
*A full clean driving licence
