Sense is a national charity that supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind. We provide tailored support, advice and information as well as specialist services to all deafblind people, their families, carers and the professionals who work with them. In addition, we support people who have a single-sensory impairment with additional needs.
An opportunity has arisen to join Sense as a Direct Marketing Assistant to provide high quality administrative support for the Direct Marketing Team. Your role will be working with the team on individual direct marketing projects, including the development of appeals and newsletters as well as and one-off analysis projects. Your work will help us with the day-to-day running of fundraising campaigns using direct mail, telemarketing, DRTV, web and email to acquire new supporters, and retain existing supporters.
This is a job share role with an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in fundraising.
Reporting to the Head of Direct Marketing your role will involve the following duties
Supporting the Direct Marketing team with key stages of production and creative processes where appropriate, including managing schedules, writing production and internal briefs, collating results.
Carrying out all aspects of team administration
Liaison with external agencies who are commissioned to work on Sense campaigns
Skills and Abilities
To succeed in this position you will need to have great communication skills, an excellent eye for detail, good organisational skills and have a conscientious approach to your work. Experience of working in an administrative role within a busy office environment, ideally within the charity sector is vital as is strong computer literacy and working knowledge of Raisers Edge or other relational databases would be advantageous.
