Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 per year
The client, a long established, stable and growing organisation, based in Chester and part of a global group are seeking a Project Design Engineer to work from their growing manufacturing site based in Chester.
Overall Purpose of Job:
To facilitate the design of products to ensure that they conform to international design and safety standards.
Principle Activities:
AutoCAD/Solidworks drawings.
Design of mechanically fitted products to international design codes.
Design calculations.
Project purchasing.
Project management.
Preparation of design technical files.
Produce detailed component & assembly drawings,
Write engineering specifications/instructions,
Produce Bills of Materials,
Preparing costings for engineered products,
Liaison with inspection authorities.
Management of engineered projects/contracts,
Sub-contractor interfaces.
Requirements:
HNC or HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
2 years minimum experience in a similar role.
(Training can be provided in areas that you would like development in).
Ability to use own initiative.
Knowledge of MathCAD & SolidWorks is preferred.
