Deputy Manager – Children

Salary: £28,800 – £32,400 per year

DEPUTY MANAGER CHILDRENS HOME SWINDON £24 – £27k pa

Our client is expanding and is seeking a deputy manager for their children’s home near Swindon. The home is set in beautiful surroundings and accommodates 3 residents who have emotional/behavioural disorders or learning disabilities so the position requires someone with previous experience in this field as everything you do with the residents will help enhance their life every day.

The ideal candidate for the deputy manager position Nr Swindon will:

* Have previous experience of working in a similar environment

* Be passionate about making a different to residents’ lives and have the resilience to find alternative solutions for each resident when times get challenging

* Able to work as a team while also leading the team in the managers absence

* Be qualified to at least NVQ level 3 in Residential Childcare, ideally level 5 or a willingness to work towards level 5

* Knowledge and understanding of the regulations and OFSTED requirements

* Have a valid driving licence

* Be on a rota for the on-call system during the week

* Undertake waking/sleep in nights as required

As the deputy manager you will be leading by example within the team and be part of the management team who are responsible for ensuring all the regulations are met and paperwork/record keeping is up to date and accurate. You will have responsibility to undertake staff supervisions and support your team in their professional development.
