EXPERIENCED TRANSPORT SUPERVISOR / TRAFFIC CONTROLLER / DISPATCHER REQUIRED TO BE PART OF A CRITICAL TEAM IN A BUSY DEPOT
TITLE: Depot Transport Supervisor
SALARY: £27,600 – £32,400 plus pension
LOCATION: The role is in London / Greater London located on the South side of the Thames
Previous job titles may have been: Logistics Supervisor / Transport Manager / Distribution Planner / Dispatcher / Multi Drop Courier / Traffic Controller / Military Logistics Officer / Transport Supervisor / Depot Supervisor / Operations Supervior
You may have worked in: Distribution / Parcels / Haulage / Courier / Logistics / Transport / Freight / Multidrop / Waste Management / Recycling / 3PL / Aggregates / FMCG
MAIN DUTIES
You will be responsible for the day to day management of circa 25 drivers
Give work instructions and monitor the performance of drivers and operatives, i.e. briefing/debriefing during course of working day
Assist with planning routes, tacho compliance, MOT’s & servicing
EXPERIENCE
You will have excellent planning skills and a good understanding of compliance
You will be extremely committed and have stability in previous roles
Logistics Supervisor / Transport Manager / Distribution Planner / Dispatcher / Multi Drop Courier / Traffic Controller / Military Logistics Officer / Transport Supervisor / Depot Supervisor / Operations Supervior
Good communication and organisation skills.
Beneficial Qualifications (but not essential):
CPC National / International / European Road Haulage
Health and Safety ideally IOSH Managing / Supervising Safely or NEBOSH
