About The Opportunity: We have an exciting opportunity based at our site in St Albans for a highly experienced, self-motivated and forward thinking Depot Manager/General Manager/Operations Manager/Senior Operations Manager.
Reporting to the Head of Operations you will be responsible for the depot achieving targeted key performance indicators in line with our business objectives and budgets. You will ensure that we consistently exceed our customer’s expectations and operational standards in line with ISO and GDP guidelines. Essentially you will have experience in operating a medium / large warehouse and have an excellent understanding of automated processes and will be able to read, analyse and report on all related operational statistics with a view to implement changes to increase performance where required.
Pulling on your experience of developing and maintaining a culture that is both commercially orientated and susceptible to change you will lead, motivate and empower staff (up to 90 FTE including Drivers) through effective and open communication, excellent leadership and regular performance feedback.
Who We Want: You must be from a fast paced depot operations environment, be able to demonstrate strong people leadership skills and achievement of KPIs from a line management role.
Essentially you will have experience of working in adherence with standard operating procedures and health and safety legislation along with an understanding of guidelines governed by external bodies. Focused on results you will be adaptable, positively minded and good at relationship management, with the ability to think outside the box.
Working hours; 39hrs per week.
