The company
Established family owned specialist universal logistics provider in Leics providing warehouse, e-fulfilment, pick pack and distribution services UK and worldwide and palletised freight distribution and worldwide air freight and cargo services.
The company has experienced rapid growth and remained resilient in 2020 and following a restructure, has ambitious plans to grow the business and its scope of operations in 2021 and beyond.
The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, this is a new role for an ambitious manager, to take responsibility for all depot and pallet network operations and manage the senior management team; Operations; Fleet; H&S Warehouses; e-fulfilment; Sales and Business Development; Customer Service.
Key responsibilities
Management of all depot operations
Compliance & legislation and audits
Ideally, experience of FORS and ISO9001
Budgeting and reporting
Cost control
Oversee
Staff welfare
Training
SOP
KPI management
reports
The candidate
Experience of a similar role, with comprehensive logistics experience
Commercial acumen
Customer focused
CPC an advantage
IOSH/NEBOSH an advantage
CPC National and International an advantage
Inventory management
Ambitious for progression, with a will to drive the business forward and strengthen its position in the marketplace.
