Customer Service & Logistics Coordinator
Based in West Midlands
Salary: Commensurate with Experience
The client:
Listgrove is supporting a leading supplier of integrated capital machinery and turnkey solutions who are now looking to recruit a Customer Service & Logistics Coordinator.
The role:
This position is responsible for coordinating customer sales orders, shipping and invoice processing including contract sales, spare parts and warranty order.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide accurate, timely, customer focused administration of all orders and customer emails
* Timely and efficient processing of credit adjustment notes where applicable
* Participate/conduct annual stocktake and provides monthly reconciliation report, to ensure correlation between actual stock and electronic records
* Assist Stores Manager to ensure spare parts are sufficiently and securely packed and ready for shipment by pick-up time where required
* Ensure that actual inventory correlates with electronic records
* Facilitate physical improvements to the Stores area, such as layout, ergonomics etc as part of the Stores team
* Ensure the stores area is clean, tidy and organised at all times, making the best use of available space
* Assist the Stores Manager when needed in the booking in and out of stock
* Have full understanding of the whole DHL Express shipping process and the AX processing of delivery notes and invoices
Qualifications:
* NVQ in Customer Service or equivalent
* Fork lift truck license (counter balance)
The successful candidate will possess the following skills, experience and attributes:
Previous experience in booking air and sea freight and coordinating export shipments (local and international) is essential
Previous experience working in a stores environment using fork lift trucks is essential
Experience with ERP systems is advantageous
Understanding of credit management is advantageous
Exposure to the manufacturing industry (specifically food and packaging) is advantageous
Extensive knowledge of export documentation including letters of credits, bills of lading, packing lists, certificates of origin and embassy legalisation requirements
Solid knowledge of MRP stock control procedures
Knowledge of sales order processing and invoicing
Able to multi task, be flexible and work under pressure
Able to develop, build and maintain strong relationship with management, co-workers, suppliers and clients
Self-motivated and driven, able to look ahead and prepare for upcoming tasks
Identification with the company values including being a team player, passionate, professional, committed, honest and treat people with dignity and respect
Excellent time management skills
Excellent communication (written and verbal)
Able to problem solve and make decisions in line with organisational philosophies and practices
Able to work both autonomously and as part of a team
Computer literacy in MS Word & Excel
