Salary: £30,000 – £42,000 per year
Our client is a highly respected grower of speciality Tomatoes for premium retailers. Due to recent developments, there is now a need for a Crop Team Leader at their site based close to Cambridge.
JOB SUMMARY
As Crop Team Leader you will take responsibility for the day to day management of the crop working and harvesting teams working closely with and reporting to the General Manager.
ABOUT YOU
We need hands on control of the glasshouse teams, and you will not be afraid to get involved and actively lead from the front. You will deliver the right quality at the right cost giving great product to customers. You will be experienced in getting the best from people, not afraid of detail and be used to delivering on time. Ideally you will have experience within the Horticultural industry as a people manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Support the day to day crop activities for the business, with responsibility for the teams involved in planting, crop manipulation through to harvest.
- Working with the General Manager to plan planting and harvest activities, organise operations and help to maintain produce quality
- Work with the General Manager to provide accurate forecasting on crop availability and labour demand and availability
