Salary: £66,000 – £90,000 per year

• Geographical region: Working across multiple sites from Bridgend to Monmouthshire 

Contracts Manager – About the role:

As a Contracts Manager responsible for overseeing various large housing projects you will report to the Construction Director and have contact with all other regional departments. The Construction Director will support and develop you in line with company policy, meaning you will enable your team of Site Managers to build more quality houses for our customers on time and within budget. You will need to be adaptable and strong in your management style with a consistent approach to customer care and health and safety.

Contracts Manager – About you:

• Confident leadership, especially from a health and safety perspective is essential
• You will be expected to work to our industry leading standards
• Extensive experience of managing build programmes and managing key KPIs across a number of sites, particularly during busy periods of the year and with changing priorities
• Excellent communicator and team leader, able to deliver a variety of messages in a constructive manner
• Excellent assertive skills to ensure delivery of cost and build targets by the onsite labour force, managing a wide range of contractors and trades to bring about a controlled and timely delivery of monthly plot forecasts
• Ability to prioritise tasks to meet changing business needs, demonstrating a strong problem-solving ability
• In-depth knowledge of all aspects of construction and housebuilding and the relevant legislative requirements e.g. health and safety, NHBC requirements and Building Regulations
• A thorough knowledge and well-rounded experience of dealing with customers and potential customers in all aspects, such as the giving of information and advice, resolving any customer issues, confirming company procedures etc
• You could be looking for that step up from Senior Site Manager if you can demonstrate a sound residential background
• Valid and up to date CSCS card
• Previous qualifications such as a BTEC, NVQ 6/7 in Site Management or an HND or degree or equivalent would be desirable
