Rose Recruitment are proud to be working exclusively with Scarf to recruit a Contracts and Commercial Manager for their award-winning organisation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic leadership and operational and commercial management of all contracts relating to energy efficiency, carbon reduction and renewables ensuring the delivery of a ‘best in class’ service across the North East of Scotland.
The post holder will lead the development of the services in conjunction with internal colleagues to meet and exceed targets.
The post holder will work proactively with existing and potential new clients, funder and stakeholders seeking out business development opportunities to support the growth of Scarf and Scarf Enterprises (Scotland) Ltd (SES) in line with the strategic plan.
Job Scope:
· Accountable for the overall management and delivery of Scarf and SES contracts, ensuring contract compliance to the highest standard;
· Drive the development of effective and efficient processes enabling ‘best in class’ contract delivery and share best practice across the organisation;
· Provide strategic planning, tactical and operational insights to facilitate the development of areas of responsibility to the Co-Chief Executives and Board of Directors as required;
· Maintain transparent, accurate and timely reporting on all operational and commercial aspects of contracts;
· Maintain and develop existing and seek new strategic clients, partnerships and stakeholders, researching and sourcing potential business opportunities and contacts;
· Prepare and contribute to the preparation of ITT’s, funding applications and other business development opportunities;
· Contribute as key member to the Leadership Team bringing a collegiate, positive approach to ensure successful team working;
· Drive the development of direct reports towards achieving business and personal objectives;
· Attend Board Meetings / Prepare and present presentations as required;
· Ensure adherence to company policies, taking corrective action and/or advising Chief Executive, Leadership Team colleagues or Board of matters arising within the organisation;
· Any other duties as requested by the Co-Chief Executive Officers.
Qualifications and Skills Level
· A degree or equivalent professional experience;
· Relevant experience with a strong focus on strategic planning, management and contract delivery;
· Experience in delivering public sector and third sector contracts preferred but not essential;
· Experience in the successful delivery of multidimensional projects, achieving targets and successfully managing budgets;
· Experience in commercial negotiations;
· Experience of maintaining and developing strategic partnerships and relationships;
· Experience of developing new business;
· Experience of managing a staff team (including other managers) in a senior role.
