Contract Revenue Technician

I am currently recruiting for the position of Contracts Revenue Technician based in Birmingham Business Park for a major FTSE 100 utilities company based in Coventry. This is a key role and success will result in multi-million payments by Customers. Working closely with the Water Contract Manager and engaging with specialists, you will work with internal stakeholders and technical teams to ensure that Business Plan targets are met, particularly revenue and profit derived from consumption data on Customer sites.

Responsibilities:

Produce the Consumption report on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis using bespoke systems.
Ensure that Revenue and costs are optimized across 1,300 sites.
Support the Water Contract Manager in using data to maximise Profit Opportunities by additional investment and improved water efficiency.
Produce business data forecasts on a monthly basis using Excel spreadsheets and query tools.
Data analysis of financial, contract and service performance data.
Use the above to identify improvements to efficiency in data management systems. Additionally, the role holder may be required to
Provide support on other Customer contracts.

Essential Experience/Qualifications:

Expert proficiency in Excel spreadsheets, databases and data management systems (including Lookups, Pivot Tables and data import/exchange).
Excellent understanding and proficiency in complex calculations, formulae and statistical analysis.
Good people and relationship development skills.
Willingness to work with a high level of initiative.
A track record of formatting and validating complex data reports to ensure they are accurate, correct and consistent. Desirable but not essential:
Knowledge of extracting data from multiple systems to composite reports and data summaries.
Experience of working in the water or waste sectors is preferred but not essential.
