Salary: £42,000 – £66,000 per year
Senior Buyer / Construction Category Manager. We are currently looking for construction procurement professionals to join our client who are at the forefront of major civil and commercial construction in the UK. A major commissioner of large scale infrastructure projects, the construction Senior Buyer / Category Manager will be responsible for multi-million pound projects. The procurement team will be responsible for leading and managing complex negotiations and improving supplier performance.
To take up one of these opportunities of Senior Buyer / Category Manager you will need to be able demonstrate:
• Stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong knowledge of the construction market / category
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written
• Experience in strategic procurement
• Professional qualifications to MCIPS / degree or equivalent
• Strong contract negotiation and supply management
• Experience in large scale civil / commercial construction projects
