The Company

Our client is part of a prestigious global engineering group and are considered as the market leader. Specifically, they design, develop and manufacture bespoke equipment and automation for the aerospace industry (please contact JMT for more detail).

Job Purpose

We are currently now looking for talented and self-motivated Commissioning Engineer to develop and support our clients industry-leading products and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation/commissioning/modification/optimization of hardware and software configurations on Automated machinery.
• Commissioning automated systems both in house and externally.
• Troubleshoot and maintain the equipment (e.g. PLC, NC, Robot controllers, etc.).
• Identify, analyse and recover production stoppages.
• Document service incidents through the respective data base systems including Service portal, site log book.
• Perform technical product training and basic user function training to customers.
• Willing to travel nationally and internationally to meet project requirement.

Will have experience with:

• Reading electrical drawings
• Experience with PLCs (ideally Programming) working on Siemens Step 7 and/or TIA portal.
• PLC diagnostics (ideally Siemens).
• Customer facing.

Plus 1 or more of the following required:

• Motors, drives & inverters.
• NC & Robotics (ideally Kuka).
• Beckhoff TwinCAT 2 or 3.
• Siemens 840D.
• Design / concept automated systems for machine control applications.
• Experience working with CFRP materials.
