Commissioning Engineer

Salary: £48,000 – £60,000 per year

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful security company who specialise in Security / Access Control Systems to some of the largest Utility companies across the UK as part of the National Grid Technology Framework, to join as an ambitious CCTV / Access Control Commissioning Engineer and help to develop the business during an exciting phase of growth.

CCTV COMMISSIONING ENGINEER

LOCATION: Field based – UK wide. You may be looking for CCTV Commissioning Engineer jobs anywhere in England. It is imperative that you are happy to travel across the UK / work away from home. Full clean driving licence required.

SALARY:  £48,000 – £60,000basic (depending on experience and qualifications), plus benefits, including a special management recognition scheme (potential to enhance salary by 25%), company car or van, mobile phone, laptop, annual bonus, loyalty scheme, annual pay reviews, pension, free onsite parking.

• All accommodation paid for (during overnight stays)
• Working away allowance (£40 per night)
• Standby call-out payment (£75 per day).

HOURS: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm.

As a CCTV / Security Systems Commissioning Engineer, you will be working closely with the Project Management Installation team, to ensure that the Integrated Security Systems and ElectroAcoustic Absorbers are installed as per the detailed design and that the necessary inspection and tests are completed prior to and during the commissioning phase.

As Security Commisioning Engineer, you will be responsible for the commissioning activities required to bring the Integrated Security Systems into full service and the handover to the client to achieve project completion.

• Producing, reviewing and issuing RAMS and associated safety document requests.
• Supporting the Contracts Manager/Planner with commercial input and planning.
• Review design packs with construction team and 3rd party suppliers.
• Complete design changes and associated drawing mark ups during construction
• Record health and safety incidents.
• Monitor commissioning progress and report to the Contracts Manager/Planner for programme updates.
• Assist the installation team with final terminations.
• Testing of systems and fault finding.
• Complete Inspection and Test documentation.
• Commissioning of integrated security systems.
• Produce commissioning documentation(cause and effect, build sheet, asset data, etc).
• Coordinate commissioning activities with the client and the Security Control Centre.
• Handover of the security solution to the client.
• Record as built information.
• Lessons Learnt review and process improvement input.

You will be an experienced CCTV Engineer / Access Control / Security Systems Engineer; a Commissioning Engineer, with Electrical qualifications / CCTV / Access Control / Security Lighting Installation / Commissioning / Maintenance experience alongside excellent communication / customer facing / IT skills and a good understanding of PID Systems.
