Salary: £60,000 per year

Our client is a local football club in South Manchester. We are assisting them to fill the important vacancy of Commercial Manager.

Role Responsibilities & Key Duties

* Responsible for meeting budgeted sales targets set by the board

* To oversee the sale of the Clubs core sponsorship packages including but not limited to Team playing Kit, Training Kit, Player Sponsorship, Educational and Community Packages, as well as Official Partner and Supplier Packages

* To develop and sell a range of home match based sponsorship packages for all Wythenshawe AFC home matches in line with set targets, including but not limited to hospitality, match sponsors, pitch side advertising, program adverts and other relevant initiatives.

* To develop and sell e-based sponsorship packages, utilising the clubs Media Platforms to increase revenue for the club.

* To develop the brand “Wythenshawe AFC” within the city of Manchester

* To develop, reinstate and harness current, previous and potential relationships with local and national businesses.

* To analyse member data and develop new commercial opportunities for the Club.

* To represent the brand “Wythenshawe AFC” to the highest levels of professionalism at all times, ensuring that all sponsors and customers receive the highest levels of customer service and account management at all times.

* To assist in the sale of the Clubs Fundraising events

Qualities Required

· Confident cold caller with the skills to reach decision makers

· Strong entrepreneurial skills and ability to spot opportunities for revenue generation

· Well organised, self motivated and driven by success both personal and for the club

· Excellent interpersonal, written and presentation skills

· Tact and diplomacy

· Work independently; with the ability to influence and drive results effectively

· Ability that stay calm under pressure and meet deadlines

· Problem solving skills

· Negotiation skills

· 2 years sales experience preferably in a football/sport-related environment

Hours of Work

The normal hours of work will be 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm, however due to the nature of the business some evening and weekend work will be required
