Salary: £48,000 – £54,000 per year
PERMANENT POSITION
Our client, a driven, forward thinking development and investment specialist based in Bournemouth is seeking an experienced Commercial Accountant/ Property Manager to join their team.
The successful Commercial Accountant/Property Manager will be the first point of contact for tenants, suppliers and all relevant stakeholders.
This role involves day-to-day bookkeeping, preparation of management accounts & year-end accounts (suitable for audit), LLP cashflows and Investor Appraisals.
The successful candidate will have a sound, demonstrable knowledge in using Sage and be a qualified or part-qualified, operationally experienced accountant (CIMA, ACCA, and ACA). You will also need to have management experience.
Duties within the role:
• Tenant liaison
• Working with the construction team to pro actively manage the client’s site
• Work with Construction Director and his team to ensure that all necessary certification (e.g. fire safety) is complete and updated for each site
• Liaison with solicitors to get new leases agreed with existing tenants
• Meeting with local partners (e.g. Council/BID/Chamber of Commerce) to ensure the operations are part of local business community
• Identifying new sources of revenue within the site & working to implement these
• Monthly bookkeeping, management accounts & VAT returns
• Updating cash flow forecasts & preparing investor appraisals on a monthly basis
• Dealing with out of hours emergencies as necessary
