Job Profile
As the successful CNC Miller you will be working alongside a team of highly skilled machinists and be required to liaise with the Design department on new projects. The team are all multi skilled machinist and training and support will be given to develop your skills.
Duties
- Programming, setting and operating 4 axis CNC machine centre to manufacture precision components
- Programming, setting and operating Haas mills using Fanuc controls
- Offline programming using CADCAM (training can be provided)
- Producing old and new components from engineering drawings
- Working closely with the Design Engineer on new products
- Working in an ISO9001 environment
- Work as a team to ensure quality and production targets are meet
- Producing components from engineering drawings through to completion of final article
- Working with a variety of materials including Stainless Steels, Brass and Aluminium
Skills & Experience
- Able to program CNC Mills using Fanuc controls
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong team player who can who work on their own when required
- Capable of contributing to root cause analysis and front-line problem solving, to support continuous improvement
- Competent in the use of hand-held measuring equipment
Hours & Benefits
- 37.5 hrs per week
- 07.00 – 15.30 Monday – Thursday, Friday 12.30 finish
- annual salary of £38,400 – £45,600per year
