Job Profile
As the successful CNC Miller you will be working alongside a team of highly skilled machinists and be required to liaise with various departments depending on the project. The team are all multi skilled machinist and training and support will be given to develop your skills. You will be working in a clean, air-conditioned modern machine shop using the latest technologies.
Duties
- Programming, setting and operating a variety CNC machining centres
- CNC Milling using 3, 4 & 5 axis mills
- Programming using Siemens 828D and Heidenhain controls (training can be provided)
- Programming offline using CADCAM HyperMill (training can be provided)
- Some manual machining as required
- Producing old and new components for the company product range
- Working closely with the Design Engineer on new products when required
- Work as a team to ensure quality and production targets are meet
- Producing components from engineering drawings through to completion of final article
- Working with a variety of materials including Stainless Steels, Brass, Aluminium and Plastics
Skills & Experience
- Must have previous programming experience
- of Siemens and or Heidenhain would be an advantage
- Experience of HyperMill would be an advantage
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong team player who can who work on their own when required
- Competent in the use of hand-held measuring equipment
Hours
- 37.5 hrs per week
- 07.00 – 15.30 Monday – Thursday, Friday 12.30 finish
- Lots of overtime available paid at x1.5 hrs, Saturdays double time
- 25 days holiday
