Children’s Support Worker

Kent Social Care Professionals are now recruiting for both male and female support workers and healthcare assistants to work with young clients we have in the West Kent area (Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Edenbridge, Langton Green, Sevenoaks etc) We have varying shifts available to suit different availabilities.

Experience with cerebral palsy and working with service users that are non-verbal is ideal, our client uses visual aids.

Moving and handling (use of hoists), and experience in PEG feeding is essential.

The shifts available at this time are 1.5hrs on a Monday morning to get the client ready for school, the hours increase during the school holidays so the role could suit someone currently working term time only. However, applicants with adult experience also will be able to work with other clients in the area.

We are looking for individuals who have compassion and commitment that can support making positive changes to someones life.

You should also have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

The successful candidate will have:

* A minimum of 6 months experience
* Be self-motivated and able to use own initiative
* Able to work under pressure and in stressful and challenging situations
* Must be a driver with full clean driving licence
