Chemistry Laboratory Specialist – Liverpool

Opportunity:

Are you currently working in a chemistry / analytical lab? Have you got experience in chemistry / analytical testing of raw materials and finished products? Want to work for a global pharmaceutical manufacturing company on a 6 months contract? Yes then this is the role for you.

Your role as a Chemistry Laboratory Specialist based in Liverpool will involve:

• Performing sample analysis for Raw Materials, In-process, Release and Stability.
• Performing complex analysis methods involving SEC analysis.
• Booking in and controlling of samples.
• Following Good Quality Control Laboratory Practices (GLP) at all times and ensuring the work area is maintained in a clean and tidy state adhering to the 6S established for the area.
• Following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Manufacturing Documentation (GDP).
• Supporting investigations.
• Providing support and training for others within the laboratory.
• Performing reviewing team members lab testing.
• Performing Validation Maintenance of the Analytical methods used in the area.
• Performing Pharmacopeia compliance checks on monograph methods used.
• Proactively driving Continuous Improvements and Digital Transformation within the QC footprint.

This is a 6 months contract role which will be reviewed for a possible expansion but everything is dependent on the individual and business performance. The PAYE rate is £16.82 per hour.

Skills:

To apply for the role of Chemistry Laboratory Specialist you will have the following:

• Chemistry / analytical lab experience ideally within the pharmaceutical or related scientific industry.

• Experience in Analytical weighing, Sample dilutions, Instrumental techniques (SEC-HPLC, AAS, pH, Conductivity, TOC).
