Chartered Structural Design Engineer (or Near Chartered)

Chartered or near chartered structural engineer required at our office in North Finchley London N12.

You will have a minimum of five years’ UK experience in all forms of structural materials used in building in the UK.

You will help to manage structural projects, supervise graduate engineers, assist in estimating fee proposals, liaise with the Principal, work co-operatively with architects, contractors and clients. You will be responsible for making sure that projects are undertaken accurately, and are finished within a suitable time-frame.

Excellence in spoken and written English is essential.

A starting salary of £45,000, plus pension scheme contributions after initial three months’ trial period.

Typical projects are shown in the Projects pages of our website. All common construction materials are involved. Construction contracts range from £20,000 to £4M.
We mostly use British Standard structural design codes.
A large part of our work involves alterations to traditional types of UK buildings.
Our office is in North Finchley, London N12 0BT, about 40mins by public transport from central London. Prospective candidates should check commute times before applying.
