Position: Charge Hand / Supervisor
Locations: Maidstone, Kent
Rate of Pay: £24 – £30per hour LTD
Contract Duration: 2-3 months
Hours of work: Mon-Sat, 11 hours/day
The company:
The company is a steel fabrication business who design, fabricate, supply and install steelwork and pipe work for the materials handling and power generation industries.
The role:
Our client will be commencing a pipework replacement project on energy from waste site in Maidstone from 15th June. As part of the project, they will require a Charge Hand to lead and supervise a team of Pipe Fitters, Welders, Telehandlers and Labourers.
Duties will include:
Managing the project with the aim to meet the specified deadlines & performance indicators whilst maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Implementing risk & method statements, interpreting design drawings, scheduling and organizing work and materials
Communicating between management and a team and liaising directly with the client
Working to a high standard with regard to health and safety and current regulations at all times.
Maintaining accurate work records and ensuring that paperwork is completed in a timely and organized manner to meet the needs of the client
Requirements:
* CCNSG card
* 4 years pipe fitting, fabrication or welding experience
* A thorough knowledge and awareness of health and safety on site
* Experience of leading and managing a team of mechanical skilled trades.
* Experience of working in a site based role ideally within the power generation / petrochemical sectors an advantage.
* SSSTS card an advantage
