Technical Development Manager (Wholesale, Warehouse and Distribution) – Electrical & Mechanical

Our client, a pan-European pharmaceutical wholesaling and retailing company, now has an opportunity for a Central Technical Development Manager based in Runcorn.

Within this role you will support the technical development of their wholesale network, through implementation of infrastructure change and maintenance of business as usual requirements, in order to ensure commercial value and high levels of customer service.

You will support the technical delivery of initiatives which drive sustainable improvements in the organisational structure, operating processes, systems, culture and capability of the wholesale network as well as supporting depot management teams to ensure appropriate competence and capability of the local depot technical teams.

Additionally you will produce and analyse reports as required on the technical aspects of depot operations in order to establish opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce business costs and review and recommend process improvements to business as usual operations to ensure commercial value and high levels of customer service.

Their ideal candidate will have Higher Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Qualifications preferably along with experience in maintaining Knapp Automation & Conveying Systems. You must have strong communication and presentation skills along with a high degree of planning and organization skills. With proven experience in the management of large scale and complex change initiatives, the successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of warehouse and distribution processes – ideally within the pharmaceutical, or related, industry.
