Hours – 37.5 hours per week
Shift patterns will cover the hours of 6am-10pm Mon-Fri and
8am-4pm Sat and Sun
You may be called out at unsociable hours to deal with security or
emergency repairs if on call

Our client has a successful residential School and College which supports both
day and residential students with complex communication and learning difficulties.

The children and young people at the Trust have a range of learning, communication, multi-sensory and physical needs and a number of students with autism spectrum condition.

They have an opportunity for two caretakers to join their team, reporting into the Front of House Manager. The purpose of this role is to provide an efficient and effective caretaking service to ensure the Trust buildings and grounds are maintained in a safe and efficient manner and support continuous high quality education and care delivery. Outside of normal office hours Caretakers will also be called upon to support the Front of House area when required to ensure security of the site and respond if required to customer enquiries.

The successful candidates will ideally have experience of delivering a caretaking/general maintenance service within an education and/or care setting, the ability to operate equipment and be able to move and handle loads, good general education (level 2 numeracy and literacy), Level 2 Cleaning and Support Services (commitment to achieving this), flexible approach to work and the ability to meet the physical demands of the post which require substantial activity around the site that includes walking, standing lifting, bending and operating cleaning equipment. A driving licence is required along with access to the use of a vehicle.
