If so, you may be excited by our opportunity for a Mobile Caretaker within our Property Services division in Aldershot! This is a permanent position working 39 hours per week. The role
The purpose of this role is to carry out communal cleaning and caretaking duties to internal communal areas to ensure that the areas are kept in a clean and safe condition for our residents to reside in.
Duties:
As well as internal communal areas, carry out communal cleaning and caretaking duties to external communal areas on sites in accordance with the SLA’s
Carry out electricity meter readings for communal areas, record findings and submit to the Supervisor
Carry out weekly and monthly fire checks to internal and external communal areas, in accordance with First Wessex Fire Safety Checklist, record findings, and submit to the Supervisor
Carry out monthly Health and Safety checks in accordance with the estate services specification (service level agreement) recording and reporting repairs with the appropriate actionThe candidate
Skills/experience:
Must have previous experience in a similar role
Have a basic understanding of lighting circuits and how to isolate mains, check and change bulbs and starters.
Have a basic understanding of fire safety, and how to check and test operating systems, including door closers, fire signage, call points, emergency lighting and housekeeping
Have good understanding of electricity meters; including the importance of identifying serial numbers and how to take all readings
Understand the importance of Health and Safety and is confident in recording/reporting defects to prevent accidents. Understand COSHH in relation to the roles and responsibilities
Full current driving license is essentialBehaviours:
