Salary: £26,000 – £28,080 per year

School Caretaker

We are looking for a skilled handy person, ex trades person / builder or maintenance caretaker to work at a lovely school in Rochdale.

Shifts will be 6am – 2pm or 10am – 6pm. Must have ENHANCHED DBS CHECK, experience looking after PFI contracts in schools is an advantage, or school caretaking. 

NEBOSH is an advantage. Health & Safety knowledge and qualifications are ideal for spotting hazards to pupils and staff.

The person must be able to work on their own initiative see maintenance repairs that need attending to and act upon them. Reporting to Site Supervisor, must be a good communicator and team player, to assist other staff in maintaining the safety of pupils and staff within the building. Assisting cleaners and maintaining grounds will be required, stocktaking, being responsible for opening and closing the building, being the main key holder, time keeping is essential.

All candidates will be subject to references. This role will start off temporary for a few weeks then will become PERMANENT for the right candidate. Ideally will be available to start IMMEDIATELY.
