Care Home Manager / General Manager – St Helens

Mackenzie Stuart is working exclusively with a quality provider of elderly care & support based in Manchester. Due to recent internal changes & growth they are looking to bring in a new CARE HOME MANAGER for their service based in St. Helens, in the Greater Manchester area.

It is a 66 bed service that provides a range of elderly care including EMI care, Dementia Care and General Nursing. They are looking for a strong manager to take control of the service and provide excellent leadership at a crucial time for the company.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:
– Deliver excellent quality care to all service of the users
– Ensure that all essential standards are complied with
– Maintain and foster strong links with the community
– Develop strong relationships with the CQC, adhering at all time to its rules and guidelines
– Ensure budgetary performance is maintained in line with financial targets
– Strong management skills delivering excellent leadership to the care team

The ideal candidate will have:
– A clinical qualification (highly advantageous)
– A management qualification – RMA/NVQ or equivalent (desirable)
– Turnaround experience preferable
– Strong leadership skills with a developed management style
– Excellent written & oral communication skills
– Strong understanding of CQC & Local Authority links
– Be confident and welcoming with strong customer care skills.
